We are one of the only retailers that travels to purchase large collections. We’ve traveled across the United States to purchase collections and have numerous references available upon request. If you have a large collection, please call us at (269) 857-2248 to discuss the process.
We purchase all types of good-quality firearms, modern or antique, as long as they haven’t been altered or modified. Not sure if we’d be interested? Give us a call — we’re happy to discuss any gun you’re interested in selling.
Check the frame or receiver for the number (it can include letters as well). Not every gun has a serial number, so please contact us if you’re unable to locate it. Any gun with a serial number that has been removed cannot be purchased.

Please take any photos that may be helpful in determining value, and be sure to capture any damage or wear on your firearm. The more detail we can see, the better offer we’re able to provide.
We are a Federally Licensed Dealer, and all paperwork can be completed online. To get started, fill out our submission form.
Guns can only be purchased from the legal owner. You’ll be required to provide a valid form of identification and attest to ownership before we purchase any firearm.
Anyone who purchases a gun from Lakeshore Guns is required to pass a federal background check before the gun can be transferred. None of your personal information will ever be shared with a future buyer of your firearm.
We live by the motto: treat others how you’d like to be treated. We provide every customer with the retail value we anticipate getting for their firearm when we sell it. For 17+ years, we’ve built our reputation on honesty and integrity. We don’t hide the fact that our goal is to offer you a fair price and resell the gun for a reasonable profit — our customers understand that we have to make a profit to stay open for years to come. Our goal is to make selling a gun safe and easy for everyone involved.
Our submission form is intended for people who are serious about selling their firearm, since it takes our staff time to review each submission. If you’re interested in an appraisal for insurance or personal purposes instead, please contact us for more information.
On rare occasions, a gun won’t pass inspection after we receive it — usually because the condition wasn’t as described, or the gun has been altered. Being as detailed as possible in your description helps prevent this. If a gun fails inspection, the seller is charged a $50 fee and is responsible for return shipping. If a part is found to be missing that may have simply been overlooked, we’ll instead offer to replace the part and deduct its cost from the payment. Very few guns ever fail inspection — if you’re unsure about a potential issue, please call us before sending the gun or accepting an offer.
That’s always an option, but it carries real risk. There’s currently no way for a private citizen to run a background check or confirm that a buyer can legally own a firearm. If your gun is later used in a crime, you could be held liable, and many states require registering the sale — failing to do so can create legal trouble for you and your family.
